This project aims at preparing final year law students for the professional examinations for entry to the legal profession (for both future barristers and solicitors). Students will have the benefit of seminars and Q&A sessions with current professional exams students and trainee lawyers.

Project Update – 5 February 2014

  • Liaised with Trainee Solicitors and staff in a major Irish law firm regarding organising the FE-1 seminar.
  • Facebook group is operational with approximately 60 members as of February 2014.
  • Dropbox to be set up to share information among FE-1 seminar participants.


Project Update – 29 November 2013

  • Liaised with the NUI Galway Law Society regarding setting up the seminars, who have agreed to help in any way they can;
  • Contacting potential seminar speakers from among current FE-1 students, Trainee Solicitors and devilling Barristers;
  • Preparing to contact several local and national law firms regarding arranging speakers from HR departments and Qualified Solicitors and as regards potential sponsorship of seminars in future years.
